HYDRAFACIAL SYNDEO NOW AT SPADA

By Kendall Farr, Licensed Esthetician, SPADA Skincare

Somewhere in the world, a HydraFacial is performed every 15 seconds. Let’s not even attempt the math but it adds up to about two million treatments done globally last year alone. The pre-red carpet beauty ritual of Hollywood A-Listers and the source of Jennifer Lopez’s enviable ‘J Lo Glow” is now available here at SPADA.  We are thrilled to announce the addition of the HydraFacial Syndeo – the latest evolution of this state-of-the art treatment offering endless possibilities for skin improvement.

So what is a HydraFacial and what are its benefits?

The HydraFacial uses a medical-grade hydradermabrasion device that carries out a patented three-part regimen — cleansing, exfoliating, and then infusing skin with intensive serums.

Hydradermabrasion? Yep. For anyone who has experienced traditional dermabrasion where the surface of the skin is blasted with a fine grit, this far gentler approach gently vacuums out the pores while simultaneously pushing in potent actives that moisturize, brighten, plump, and protect. The machine’s handpiece holds patented spiralized treatment tips equipped with ‘vortex technology’ the whirling force that sucks out impurities as it pushes in targeted treatment.

The treatment is divided into three key parts, the first being cleanse.  HydraFacial uncovers a new layer of skin with gentle exfoliation and resurfacing. It begins with Active-4™, a serum that softens sebum, exfoliates, and hydrates the skin followed by GlySal ™a mixture of glycolic and salicylic acids, that delivers the benefits of chemical peeling without any post peel scaling.

The second step is extract. HydraFacial removes debris from the pores with painless suction and nourishes skin with intense moisturizers that quench parched skin. This is when the system’s patented vortex suction cleans out the pores with exclusive Beta-HD ™serum.

And finally, the third step is to hydrate. A HydraFacial saturates the skin’s surface with Antiox +, a moisturizing Hyaluronic Acid combined with detoxifying ingredients like Vitamins A and E plus White Tea and Rosemary Leaf Extract.  Referred to as “Liquid Gold” ,Antiox + delivers protection while maximizing your glow.

What do HydraFacials do?

If you wear daily makeup plus daily sunscreen or for anyone who simply wants a deeper clean, HydraFacial is an effective way to remove the buildup of sebum and debris that creates pore clogging, barrier dehydration, and more. The system is designed to brighten the skin by exfoliating your skins’ top layer -your epidermis- and its’ protective layer the stratum corneum. Without proper exfoliation, dead skin cell and sebum buildup are the reason your skincare isn’t fully absorbed into your skin. HydraFacial sweeps away the debris and post-treatment your skincare will penetrate better and your will makeup glide on.

How are HydraFacials different from chemical peels?

A chemical peel uses acids to dissolve dead skin cells and debris but they are most effective (and safest) on lighter skin tones. HydraFacials can be used effectively on all skin tones.

Is it safe for all skin types?

HydraFacials can be performed on most skin types, including very sensitive complexions. But those with active rashes, sunburns, or rosacea should not do HydraFacials, which can cause further damage or flare-ups. Also, pregnant woman should not do HydraFacials. Some of the ingredients used during the treatments such as salicylic acid, haven’t been tested or proven safe during pregnancy.

Recovery and Precautions

One of the perks of a HydraFacial is little to no downtime post-treatment. Some people may experience redness, but most can expect to see skin looking plumper, more hydrated, and refreshed. After your facial, we recommend not washing your face and avoiding any workouts or activities that would make you sweaty. Wearing SPF and protecting the skin from sun exposure post-treatment is essential.

Aggressive exfoliation, waxing, and products containing acids should be avoided in the treatment area for a minimum of two weeks pre – and post-treatment.

HydraFacial is Targeted Skincare

A Deluxe HydraFacial moves the treatment from protection to intensive correction with the added benefits of a serum booster chosen specifically for your skin concerns. Options for deep hydration with peptide and collagen infusion, growth factor infusion, brightening vitamin C infusion, targeted acne care and more enhance and customize your care. And speaking of Jennifer Lopez – she has developed a Hydracomplex booster with HydraFacial that delivers an even, glowing complexion. The concentration of the booster is followed by rejuvenating professional strength LED light with a device using specific wavelengths to treat wrinkles and acne on the entire face. A Platinum Hydrafacial treatment includes both a targeted booster, an LED treatment, plus the added benefit of 15 minutes of lymphatic drainage. Lymphatic therapy helps remove impurities from the skin to lift and contour while reducing the appearance of puffiness.

Skincare is progressive care. The more consistently the skin experiences treatment the more visible the change – from the softening of fine lines and deeper wrinkles, to fading sun damage, to improving acne congestion, to fading post-breakout hyperpigmentation, and more. Visible results after just one treatment make HydraFacial a perfect skin boost before a big event. To book a HydraFacial at SPADA and to learn about our treatment packages click here.
